Not my cat!

Hoy, en News, una de animales. ¿Sabías que hay leopardos salvajes en Israel? Pues sí…y esto es lo que puede pasar cuando duermes cerca de leopardos salvajes y tienes un gato en casa: un pequeño, inofensivo, tierno y, sobre todo, delicioso gatito.
Como siempre, el texto en inglés y luego en español y, en medio, el audio a velocidad normal y lenta. Si puedes seguir el texto a velocidad normal, mejor; si no, hazlo un par de veces con la velocidad más lenta antes de pasar al normal. Y, finalmente, escucha la noticia a velocidad normal sin leer el texto, aunque no entiendas todo.
Imagine that you are sleeping peacefully, and suddenly you hear some noises and wake up to see a leopard trying to eat your cat in your own bedroom. That is precisely what happened to an Israeli man and his wife in a desert kibbutz.
Without hesitation, the man ran to save his beloved pet. Not having any weapons, he wrestled with the big cat until he managed to pin him down. Once he did this, his wife called the authorities and the leopard was anesthetized and taken to a veterinary hospital. The animal was suffering from malnutrition and had entered the house looking for easy prey: the poor cat. Fortunately, the little cat had a brave protector!
The big cat has been taken to a nature reserve (there are ten wild leopards living in Israel, and this is one of them). The little cat survived the horrible experience and probably purrs in gratitude every time his owner is near.

Imagina que estás durmiendo plácidamente y, de pronto, oyes algunos ruidos, te despiertas y ves un leopardo tratando de comerse a tu gato en tu propio dormitorio. Eso es exactamente lo que le ocurrió a un hombre israelí y su mujer en un kibbutz del desierto.
Sin dudar, el hombre corrió para salvar a su querida mascota. Al no tener armas, luchó mano a mano con el gran gato hasta conseguir sujetarlo contra el suelo. Una vez hizo esto, su mujer llamó a las autoridades y el leopardo fue anestesiado y trasladado a un hospital veterinario. El animal sufría malnutrición y había entrado en la casa buscando una presa fácil - el pobre gato. ¡Sin embargo, el gatito tenía un valiente protector!
El gato grande ha sido transportado a una reserva natural (hay diez leopardos salvajes en Israel, y éste es uno de ellos). El gato pequeño sobrevivió a la horrible experiencia y probablemente ronronea con gratitud cada vez que su dueño está cerca.
